21st September 2014 Kairos Britain Speaker and Discussion - Trinity URC, Beaconsfield Road, St Albans:
Kairos Britain is the British response to the Kairos Call from the combined Palestinian churches for help in the ongoing crisis in Palestine.
To hear how we, as the Christian community in St Albans, can respond to this, please come to a service at Trinity URC, on Sunday 21st September, the beginning of the World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel. We have a speaker from Kairos Britain, the ecumenical group set up in response to the Kairos Call.
There will be three sections to the morning and you are welcome to all or just to part according to your availability.
- At 10 am, there will be a short service to mark the World Week for Peace in Israel and Palestine, with its 2014 focus on those who are prisoners.
- This will be followed at 11am by a talk by Charlotte Marshall of Kairos Britain explaining the background to the Kairos Call, the response by Kairos Britain, and how both individuals and churches can get involved.
- After this, from about 12 noon you are welcome to join in more informal discussion and conversation; simple refreshments will be available.
