(14.) James Anderson; who began to travel in the year 1789, and continued to labour in the itinerancy until 1828, when he became a Supernumerary. His increasing infirmities rendered it necessary for him to retire from all public ministerial duties during some of the latter years of his life. In his last illness he expressed firm confidence in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He died April 13th, 1840, in the seventy-third year of his age.
